Dahlias are at the heart of Jan Vleut’s work, an experienced dahlia grower and breeder, driven by passion and with over 30 years of craftsmanship. What started as a craft has grown into a specialized family business where quality, innovation, but above all love for the dahlia, are central.

Today, his two daughters, Jill and Isa, also actively work on the nursery. This marks the third generation of dahlia growers in the family. That dedication is reflected in every tuber that leaves our nursery. The involvement with dahlias is palpable throughout the whole family.

At the nursery, Jan and his colleagues are involved daily in growing dahlia tubers, cutting flowers, and propagating plants through cuttings. These cuttings form the basis for a new generation of strong and healthy dahlias.

Jan’s greatest passion lies in breeding: developing new, unique dahlia varieties. Every year, special varieties with surprising shapes and colors are created. He gladly shares these exclusive dahlias with enthusiasts so everyone can enjoy their beauty.
