About us

Dahlias are at the heart of Jan Vleut’s work. He is an experienced dahlia grower and breeder, driven by passion and backed by more than 30 years of expertise. What began as a craft has grown into a specialized family business where quality, innovation, and above all, a love of dahlias are central.

Today, his two daughters, Jill and Isa, also actively work at the nursery. This marks the third generation of dahlia growers in the family. That dedication is reflected in every tuber that leaves our nursery. In this way, our commitment to dahlias can be felt throughout the entire family.

At the nursery, Jan and his colleagues are busy every day growing dahlia tubers, cutting flowers, and propagating plants from cuttings. These cuttings form the basis for a new generation of strong and healthy dahlias.

Jan’s greatest passion lies in breeding: developing new and unique dahlia varieties. Every year, special varieties emerge with surprising shapes and colors. He is happy to share these exclusive dahlias with enthusiasts, so everyone can enjoy their beauty.

Two-thirds of the dahlia tubers you order through Dahliaonline.nl come directly from our own nursery: fresh, carefully selected, and ready to grow and bloom in your garden.

Finally, hello, I’m Melanie, Jan’s partner. I manage this website and am responsible for the entire operation of Dahliaonline.nl. All questions, communications, and orders go through me. This ensures that everything runs smoothly and that you can easily find and order your favorite dahlias and receive them in perfect condition.

We look forward to it!
