Dahliaonline.nl is the passion project of Jan Vleut, an experienced dahlia grower and breeder with more than 20 years of expertise. When Jan’s young adult daughters become more involved in the nursery, they will form the third generation of dahlia growers. What started as a traditional craft has grown into a true specialty, where quality, innovation, and a love for the flower are at the heart of everything.

At the nursery, Jan works daily on growing dahlia tubers, cutting flowers, and propagating plants through cuttings. These cuttings form the foundation for the next generation of strong, healthy dahlias. His two oldest children actively contribute, both at the nursery and through social media, making the family’s passion for dahlias clearly visible.

Jan’s greatest passion lies in breeding: developing new, unique dahlia varieties. Each year, remarkable new types emerge, with surprising shapes and colors. He shares these exclusive dahlias with enthusiasts so that everyone can enjoy their beauty in the garden.
